The style of yoga that I teach links vinyasa flow with correct body alignment. This improves range of movement in the joints, strength and flexibility.

From my own practice of yoga I find the health benefits can be physical as well as mental. My muscles are stronger and leaner from stretching out, also my posture has improved and I now stand taller.

The more mental benefits I have found are improved sleeping habits and the feeling of waking up refreshed. I also find my mind is less busy and I can focus easily on a task without being distracted.

Yoga is not just about moving the body into and out of shapes, for me it is about bringing together the mind, body and breath. It is about tuning inwards and listening to your own rhythm.

In today´s busy schedule we can become disengaged from our body and lose awareness.

The practice of yoga is very personal to the practitioner, having different effects on different people. As a teacher I can never say it can cure anything but it helps in daily life.
